1. Agreement to Terms
I, the undersigned, hereby confirm that I have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of this agreement. By checking the box below, I acknowledge that I am bound by these terms.
2. Registration & Participation
I have registered with the Singapore Cycling Federation (SCF) (UEN No. S58SS0009A) and/or the "Event Organiser" to participate in an SCF-organised, sanctioned, or supported training session(s)/competition(s) (the "Activity"). My accepted registration is non-transferable to another participant.
3. Description of Risks
By participating in the Activity, I acknowledge and accept the following inherent risks:
- The Activity involves strenuous physical exertion, including but not limited to cycling on roads, tarmac, and off-road terrain.
- The Activity carries risks of serious injury, health hazards, and potential life-threatening incidents, which may include:
- Bone fractures, bruising, cuts, sprains, concussions, or head injuries.
- Exposure to environmental elements such as extreme weather, wild animals, insects, and natural obstacles.
- Fatigue, dehydration, or exhaustion that could increase the likelihood of injury.
- I must obey all instructions from the Organiser and designated representatives, including coaches and technical officials.
- Medical assistance will be provided in emergencies, but I accept full financial liability for any associated costs.
4. Personal Warranties
- General Health – I am in good physical and mental health and have no conditions that render me unfit to participate in this Activity.
- Medical Disclosure – I have disclosed any special medical conditions or requirements that may impact my participation.
- Physical Ability – I am physically capable of cycling at the required level for this Activity.
- I will fully comply with the requirement to complete the Get Active Questionnaire prior to my participation in the programme/event/lessons.
5. Personal Accident & Liability Insurance
UCI Regulations specifies that in order to compete in a race, a rider will have to have insurance coverage – personal liability and personal accident. These are defined as follows:
Personal Accident
Accidental injury – An unforeseen event of violent, accidental, external and visible nature, occurring during the Period of Insurance, which results in Bodily Injury or Death.
Personal Liability
Legal liability – subject to the terms, exceptions, limits and conditions contained herein or endorsed hereon the company will indemnify the Insured against.
- Accidental bodily injury to or illness of any person.
- Accidental loss of or damage to property happening during the period of insurance within the stated territorial limits, in connection with the business.
- All costs and expenses of litigation recovered by any claimant against the insured.
- Costs incurred with the written consent of the company in respect of a claim against the insured for compensation to which the indemnity applies.
This requirement for insurance coverage will be extended to programs and bookings at the BMX Track.
Participants for all programs at the BMX Track and Pump Track will need to purchase a Personal Accident & Liability Insurance.
The SCF will purchase the insurance from Etiqa Insurance Pte Ltd on a preferential group rate (subject to no claims history).
The insurance coverage will cover the individual for national competitive races organized or sanctioned by SCF, as well as for programs organised by SCF or the Approved Training Partners, on an annual calendar-year basis. The extended coverage for the insured person includes the following:
- Policy extends to cover coaches with the same terms and conditions as the athletes.
- Participating in training, programmes or competitions locally and overseas (Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia Only) organized and endorsed by SCF.
- Travelling to or from competitions and training sessions endorsed by SCF.
With the UCI Licence, you will be able to take part in all SCF organized and sanctioned events and coverage will include your participation in training sessions held locally and organized and endorsed by SCF.
A UCI Licence, with automatic SCF individual membership, is priced as follows:
- $100.00 (for those 19 years old and above)
- $60.00 (for those who are 18 years old and under)
- <6 years old: The UCI License is not applicable. Parents can contact Great Eastern (Jori Lim – 9180 5581 or Gwendolyn Tan – 9296 9124) to purchase a Personal Accident Plan for kids under 6 years old, at a preferential rate.
The insurance coverage provided for by Etiqa is a personal accident and liability insurance. The insured amount is $4,000 per injury and limited time period coverage. Chronic/Pre-existing/Overuse injuries and medical conditions are not covered. Participants are highly encouraged to purchase their own additional insurance to increase the coverage.
For parents/guardians with children under 6 years old, you acknowledge the risks of the sport and declare that you have an existing personal and accident plan for your child/ward, that will cover cycling related accidents and injuries at the BMX and Pump Track.

6. Indemnity & Release of Liability
I fully understand the risks involved and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organiser and its affiliates, including: SCF, event sponsors, coaches, officials, employees, landowners, contractors, and service providers acting on behalf of the Organiser (collectively referred to as the "INDEMNIFIED PARTIES").
I waive any claims against the INDEMNIFIED PARTIES for injuries, disability, psychological harm, loss of life, or damage to property incurred during participation in the Activity, regardless of cause, including but not limited to negligence or omissions by the INDEMNIFIED PARTIES. I indemnify the INDEMNIFIED PARTIES against any claims made by my estate, dependents, heirs, successors, or assigns.
7. Applicable Law & Dispute Resolution
- This Agreement shall be governed by Singapore law.
- Any dispute shall be referred to arbitration at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) in accordance with SIAC rules.
- If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remainder shall remain in effect.
8. Authority & Waiver
- The Organiser and its representatives have the authority to disallow my participation if deemed necessary for my safety or the safety of others.
- If participation is revoked, registration fees and related costs are non-refundable.
- I appoint the Organiser and its representatives with full authority to procure medical assistance on my behalf if I am unable to act for myself. I acknowledge financial responsibility for such medical care.
9. Refund Policy
In the case of force majeure (e.g., war, natural disasters, strikes, official orders), no refunds shall be issued, and the Organiser shall not be held liable for cancellations or delays.
In the event of bad weather, sessions may be rescheduled to a later date. No refunds will be provided for events/programmes/lessons/bookings which may need to be cancelled.
10. Personal Responsibility
- If I decide to withdraw from the Activity, I will inform a Coach or Technical Official before leaving.
- I confirm that I will complete the Get Active Questionnaire prior to participation.
11. Media Consent & Privacy Notice
By participating in the Activity, I acknowledge that photography, audio, and video recording may take place. I consent to the use of such materials for promotional purposes, including but not limited to:
Photography & Recording: My images and recordings may be used by SCF for marketing, event promotion, and advertising.
No Compensation: I waive any rights to payment or royalties for the use of my likeness.
Personal Data Protection: SCF may collect and share my personal data with partners (e.g., Sport Singapore) in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
12. Refund Terms & Conditions
General refund process
Requests for refunds will be on a case-by-case basis.
- Processing Time: Refunds are submitted to your bank immediately upon approval. Depending on your bank's processing time, it may take 5–10 business days for the refunded amount to appear in your account.
- Stripe Fees: Please be aware that Stripe's processing fees from the original transaction are non-refundable. This means that while the transaction amount will be returned to you, the associated processing fees will not.
Refunds for GrabPay and PayNow transactions
Non-Refundable via Stripe: Transactions made using GrabPay and PayNow are not eligible for refunds through Stripe. If you have made a payment using either of these methods and require a refund, please contact the Singapore Cycling Federation (SCF) directly to initiate the refund process.
How to request a refund
- For payments made via credit or debit cards, refunds can be processed directly through Stripe as outlined above.
Liability disclaimer
Third-Party Processing: Please note that SCF and Monstre are not liable for any loss of funds or discrepancies that may occur during the refund process. Refund transactions are managed by Stripe and the respective payment providers, and any issues arising during the refund process are subject to their terms and conditions.
13. Administrative Fees
An admin fee of 9% will be added to the total event/programme/booking registration amount at checkout. This fee covers transaction processing costs, including payment gateway and platform service fees, and ensures the secure and smooth handling of all registrations and refunds.
